I'm building a Kroot Merc army and ran into a problem, so to speak. The Shaper Council and the Vulture Kindred can both take hounds (Vulture's Shaper can take 2, I'm meaning), and the Master Shaper can take 2 as well.

My question is,
(1) if the unit has Wings or
(2) given Fleet of Foot
will they be "lagged" by the hounds, or is it assumed the hounds keep up by moving a max of 12 inches as well for either Winged or Fleet'ed units?

Looking again, I suppose this questions spreads to the Hound Packs, as well, seeing as they are allowed to take the Fleet option, but does not need to be taken for the Hound part of the unit.

(3) So can the entire unit, hounds too, Fleet?

"Both Kroot Hounds and Krootox gain the benefit of the adaptations and rules of the parent Kroot unit."

I'm pretty sure there's a stipulation in the PDF that says you can't give a Master Shaper or Shaper Council wings if they're accompanied by Hounds.

That'd make this wing thing a non-issue.


Edit: found it.

From the Master Shaper entry: "If he is not accompanied by Kroot Hounds and has not taken the hyperactive nymune organ adaptation, he may be given wings at +15 points."

He can still be Fleet and the Hounds will have it too, as described above.
