<!--StartFragment --> Hey guys,

I just found these pictures and thought I'd add them to the pile of incoming Warmachine/Hordes stuff.  I apologize if these have already been shown, but my search didn't come up with anything.

This is the Brute Thrall:

And here are some officers and standard bearers:

And this looks like a Sniper or something.  Maybe one of the Warmachine Gurus can tell me, but I'm guessing it can tag along with a Trencher unit.

Once again, if these have been posted already, I apoogize.  If not, enjoy!

Again, the Winterguard continue to be a little...stiff. A lot of that might be the paint-job, though. I'll be pickin' those up.

The Brute Thrall is off the hook. I hope his stats match his physique. And the cygnar dudes...um, what do they do? They are pretty cool, though...

Trenchers are very good in the game.

I was wondering about THOSE SPECIFIC trenchers...Are they the officers? The guys with the rpgs?

They're the officer and the sharpshooter.

Officer has a mini feat that lets them move, shoot, and then dig in / toss smoke.
The officer has an order that lets them shoot and then either charge or run (this is sick).
The sharpshooter has a trencher gun and the sharpshooter ability - he can opt to do one point of damage automagically, and can choose the column/branch where it goes. Good for killing shieldwalled stuff.

Thanks. I thought they might be. Looking sweet.  That pretty much determined which infantry I'm getting for my Cygnar to get 'em up to 500...

Trenchers get a lot of cool stuff in superiority. even a new Jack who can dug himself in too and can shoot 3 times while standing next to Trenchers. now just pack Siege Brisbane or somebody like him and you don't need any fancy elecric stuff

I didn't get a chance to give my opinion early - busy day at work.

Personally I think the Brute Thrall is awesome.  It's just one more indication for me that if I start playing Warmachine, my first faction will by Cryx.  But if I pick up Hordes first, I'm going Trollblood.  Ah decisions, decisions.

As a sidenote- That's one of the things I really like about the state of the hobby nowadays.  There's so many cool game options (Warmachine, Hordes, Flames of War, etc.)  that just weren't easily accesible (or available) when I first started playing Warhammer.

I also really like the Flameguard officer and banner, and the Cygnar trencher officer and sniper.

Does anyone know if the Brute Thrall is pretty solid, statswise?

(I'm kidding about the loans)

I think the Brute Thrall will be awesome with the mechanithralls. If you don't like
the regular mechanithralls, though, don't bother with the brute (he's attached to
the units). Basically the grab things and hold them still so other models in the unit
can pound on the target.

Dude, say no more.  Mechanithralls are one of the units that got me interested in Warmachine and Cryx.

Warmachine or Hordes is definately my next project after Flames of War.  Good times.

Unfortunately the early Cryx infantry miniatures (the aforementioned mechanithralls and bile thralls) leave a lot to be desired, IMHO. If they ever resculpt them to look like the Brute Thrall and Bloat Thrall (respectively) I would definitely start a Cryx force.

I agree. Some of the early stuff is in desperate need of resculpt. It's these earlier pieces that kept me from playing the game more than a couple of times. Great rules, but I have to enjoy painting the minis as well.

Superiority models are looking fantastic, though.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Really? I like the original mech thralls. The thing that it took me time to get over was
the chicken jack chassis.

Wondering Why the Emperor Left

I do not think they will get resculpted.  They don't really believe in resculpts.  The only reason they made the new satyxis is that the original were so hard to produce.  I am really suprised at how well the thrall and the winterguard officer came out.  I might actually end my little boycot and get that officer.

I never minded the winterguard sculpts. I even liked them because they were grunts in
trenchcoats. I don't think you can ever really glorify that look without getting campy.

All these pics are in Superiority, albeit without the size comparisons. The Brute Thrall does more than just holding enemies. At S+P 14 for each fist, or 19 with the combo strike, he hits almost as hard as a Slayer! And he's not every expensive either. He will tend to catch bullets though, as he's not very durable and is on a larger base than the Mech Thralls, so they don't block LOS to him.

Personally i think that a few of the Prime units could use a tweak on their sculpts.

I like the Mechanithrall models  but with quakity of everything else i think that they could use and update, and since the only other model like that in the Cryx range is the Brute there will be no style issues.

My only issue with the Winter guard, like nearly everyone, is that they have no necks.  A side from that i have always thought they looked great.

With Cygnar, i think that the Long Gunners could use something a bit more.  they look fine mind you, but I just think that they could use some pose variation.

the PoM, i can really critisize anything.  I really don't think that  any of their unit  models really need any changes.

See that? That thing just stuffed two other things into that bigger thing! What in Morrow's name is going on?"
