"We're watching Lord of the Rings [Battle for Middle-earth II] going to 360 very closely," Moravek told the site, referencing the recent console port of another fantasy RTS game. "Because if it's successful, I think there's a good chance we could bring Company of Heroes and even Dawn of War over." I can't find the original Gamespot article, but the forum post where I saw this is boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message

Dakka on World of Warcraft:
MANNAHNIN: I know two guys who have had to quit the game cold turkey because the time investment required by it caused problems with their family life.
JFRAZELL: So in other words, nature is self selecting out those not fit to survive and breed? Hail WOW replacing savannah lions since 1997... |

That'd be sweet. Relic has already published a couple of 360 titles. They've got their feet wet.

We call my PC the Dinosaur. It 's so old it might as well have a crank start. I'd love to play Dawn of War, and I might just buy my friends copies of Battle for Middle-Earth II, birthdays and Xmas and Kwaanzaa, just to get the sales up and help me play as the Blood Ravens.

Eugh. DoW I enjoyed, but porting it to a console... call me a cynic, but I just don't think RTS's work on consoles, and I don't really see how you can get around the fact that an analogue stick is not as fast or accurate as a mouse, or that face and trigger buttons just don't match up to hot keys.

I believe this was tried previously with Command and Conquer, and failed miserably. It's possible Relic might get a RTS to work on the 360, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

EA has done it. LoTR: BFMEII plays VERY nicely on the 360. We've got a group that plays fairly often on Live.

The Wii has some potential with a RTS using that pointer remote.

Of course so does the PS2, and they got soooo much use from them. I saw video of Battalion Wars 2 on the Wii and they used the Wiimote(sigh) to point at units for selection and then use the analog controll to maneuver them. Looked interesting.
