hey all!

I have been looking around the site and on the hordes site for a while because the models look realy cool and there seem to be a low amount of models needed. I also looked on the hordes site but it lacked the info i was looking for.

I just have a few beginners questions:

1) where can i buy and/or play this game?

2) Are warmachine and hordes connected? can you play warmacine against
 horde?

3)Is it a complicated game?

4) where/how can i get the rules?

Well thanks guys any answers you can give me would be greatly apreciated!!!

First of all: Yay, more WM players!

To answer your question:

1. A lot of stores carry the line to some degree or another. Warstore has it all (www.thewarstore.com).
If that fails, try the Privateer Press Forum. They also have an opponent locator.

2. Yes.

3. It's not complicated, but it does take some thinking compared to IGOUGO. It's all about sequence and the buffs each unit/figure gives to the other. You have to actually plan out what everything is going to do and make sure you can get it off right. Some complain that warcaster kill (i.e. killing the commander) makes the game too easy, but there are plenty of scenarios that keep it going.

4. you can download starter rules (the ones that come in the starter boxes): try http://www.freewargamesrules.co.uk/ for guidance.

Additionally, every faction for both WM and Hordes comes with a poster with the quick-start rules included. That can keep you going for a while.

Guinness: for those who are men of the cloth and football fans, but not necessarily in that order.

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil
