Check 'er out guys and gals! www.ziterdes.de/ Only problem is regardless of how sweet the scenery is it's overpriced Cheaper then FW but I'm pretty sure it's the high density foam all the specialty foam stuff from GW was back in 2002ish.

It is lovely stuff. In my experience well worth the price. It's like the stuff GW did in the "biscuity" kind of foam but finished to an even higher level.

I saw some of the terrain recently. Very nice stuff, but it is indeed the same light foam the GW used some time ago. A little higher quality though. Nice terrain for the price but shipping to NA is pretty expensive.

Hell that isnt all either. While the above table is certainly top notch, in the strictest sense, these are very good CoD tables themselves. Just add a few ruined buildings of your own and its a solid table anyone would be more than happy to play on. I am in love with this company. I emailed them to see what this custom table would cost. Just so I can get a rough idea. Ill update this post when I get a reply.

I don't think those are overpriced?but once shipping from Germany is added in, I'd be better off getting a Cities of Death box.

I finally got a reply. Here is the correspondance: Me: <pre>"Nachricht für Eskator I am curious how many euros you charge to make a table such as this. Also, what would the charge for shipping be to the united states be? http://www.ziterdes.de/webseiten/content/specialservice/bilder/Ueberuns-NEWS/GamesDay2b.jpghttp://www.ziterdes.de/webseiten/content/specialservice/bilder/Ueberuns-NEWS/GamesDay1a.jpgVerschickt von: Name: Herr Patrick"</pre> Ziterdes: "Hello Patrick, <pre> Sorry for our late reply - we are very busy at the moment regarding the preparings for the big show SPIEL'06 at Essen. A price for the two tables each 120 x 180 cm ---HA! Good question. Something like 3.500 to 4.000 Euros. It was a huge work....only 5 liter of the 2K Water-Gel (NOCH-Item-No. #60870) was necessary to fill the channel with water....a lot of individual things were created in hours of work... Hope that helps you. Cheers Juergen PS: Visit us at Essen in Hall 6 Booth 300 than you can see the tables live! Your ZITERDES Team In Cooperation with... I like em, but not that much.

And you'll definitely be paying a few hundred on shipping, regardless the cost, if you want to actually get the table in one peice to the States from Germany (or anywhere overseas for that matter). Stuff like that has to be securely crated for it to have half a chance. You think UPS or USPS is bad about getting stuff to ya in one piece? Tack on overseas (shudders).

If you really want something like that, talk to Gale Force Nine. They do custom tables all the time. In fact the last game I played there was on a table that looked almost exactly like that (pods beating up on an 18 vyper Saim Hann army!) They're stuff is top notch too. If I had the space I'd buy one of their tables. I even tried to get it past the future mrs. to buy one with a custom top we could put on it to use as a dining room table. I'll let you guess how that turned out.

Thats a shame Ed, as it is clearly a good compromise to put a table top over it, especially if it looks great. Hell, I want one of those myself, and I am basically a bachelor. But then again, I am sure she knows better. It wont be used for a dining table very often I am sure...

So when I talked to GF9 about creating a custom table, I think it came in between 600 and 1,000 US dollars depending on how detailed we wanted it. I think it's a better price than 3-4,000 euros/US dollars.
The ziterdes stuff looks like the GW stuff because, as I understand it, they were the producer of the GW stuff. They couldn't support the production volume GW needed long term, and that's why they lost the "contract" to do the work. Or, at least that's what I was told.
I bought a bunch of it at Adepticon last year, and don't regret it. It looks great and really is very playable. Personally, it's better than the COD buildings. But just my opinion. They're great for Warmachine especially.
