Since redshirt rumors are usually unreliable I thought I'd pass along something from a redshirt I know. 

Like most service indusrty people redshirts are bored and hate their customers.

And therefore enjoy messing with them by making stuff up. 

So rather than assuming the latest bizzare redshirt rumor is a result of stupidity you can safely assume it was malice.

Lies. My redshirt loves me. Especially when he is on away missions.

If it came from a redshirt we can safely assume that it's not true.

Whether the cause is malice or stupidity, it is still an unreliable source.

I think you could kill a robot with that rumor. Head would pop right off, it would.

So... does this mean that I shouldn't trust adults who work in malls and live with their parents? Like that guy at the record store who knows where Tupac lives, or the at Cinnabon who says that the frosting is really made from boiled roach eyeballs?

You can be sure the frosting is not made from boiled roach eyeballs. Roach eyeballs are expensive. It would not be good business sense to use a rare and expensive ingredient such as roach eyeballs when a subsidized commodity such as sugar is so cheap and plentiful.

It's either that or this is that trick question about the guy who says "everything I say is a lie."

A lesson malfred learned the hard way, much to his chagrin. Legend is he couldn't get the poop stench off himself for days.

This one time some guy in a bathroom asked Malfred if he wanted a teabag and Malfred replied: "This isn't the time for a cup of Darjeerling, you dunce! I've kids to drop off at the pool!"
