My proposition is this:

Gauss weapons instead of wounding anything on a 6 regardless of toughness on the "to wound roll" instead, automatically wound on the roll of a 6 to hit. (Kind of rending but without ignoring Armour). The vehicle rules remain the same with the glancing hits happening on the AP roll. This rule would make all gauss weapons only slightly better than they already are but it would be a noticeable difference. It would also mean that the gauss's wounding ability was not only useful against the occasional wraithlord but against everything which seems appropriate.

It just seems a lot more fluffy with all this talk of men being flayed alive and such because right now the only things that I see getting flayed are T8 opponents!

This is my first post hope you like it!

To tell you the truth I'd rather lie.

I would like this a bit. However, it would result in a significant boost. And guess what, that would almost deffinately mean a point cost increase.

It would also further increase the disparity between the different units. Our cc units which hardly ever get taken as is (wraiths flayed ones, pariahs to a lesser extent, tomb spyders) would now be even less usefull next to these guys which have the equivalent of poisoned weapons.

Immortals would go over the top and just reach stupid levels of usefullness. Destroyers would be better and a squad of 20 warriors deepstriking into rapid fire range of the enemy would all of a sudden be even more nuts.

It improves the units that don't need it and doesn't improve the units that do.
