I don't think anyone has mentioned 'Tide of Iron' yet on Dakka. It's a new board/mini game from Fantasy Flight Games on WW2 tactical combat. It is a cross between the classic Squad Leader board game and Memoir '44. BGG has a few photos of a mock-up that was using counters instead of minis http://www.boardgamegeek.com/game/22825

'Tide of Iron' is supposed to have a ton of plastic figures. Infantry are roughly 15-20mm and will fit four to a base. Vehicles are individual and will be in a slighly smaller scale. The board is designed to be variable with a base mat and tile sets for terrain. It uses a card system of some kind. Due out in December.

looking foward to this, I will stock it for sure in the shope I work at and do not think it will take long to find its way into my collection. Battlelore from FantasyFlight also looks to be a good new board game.

Cry Havoc and let slip the dogs of war!

$55 for chits? Where are da miniatures? The picture only shows chits. That sounds naughtier then it is.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

The 'chits' were only for the prototype. The final game will have plastic miniatures and a different board.
