Also, how do you start a decent Eldar fleet? I saw Yriel's
ship and the craftworld ships and they just look too cool.

Lots of escorts. Eldar escorts are great units, and their cruisers are less effective than most fleets.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Does that apply to the craftworld Eldar, too? I assumed they were separate lists.

Don't know about the Craftworld, but Eldar capital ships can't take a hit. They got standard 5+ armor, and you get a Critical Damage on them on a roll of 4+ not 6+ like everything else. They've got great defense against Lance weapons, but against Weapon Batteries they crumple like paper.

I've had one game against the Eldar, but it taught me one thing. Fear the escorts. FEAR THE ESCORTS! Sure, they aren't that survivable, but the sheer speed combined with the lance power and their fields makes them extremely deadly.

Here is what I did, Malfred. I sold all of my eldar fleet to buy the craftworld stuff.

I sold my hemlocks (x12), nightshades (x12), auroras (x2) and voidstalker.

I replaced them with the much cheaper blisters (you get 4 per craftworld blister as opposed to 3 per corsair blister) of craftworld shadowhunters. if you look closely at the shadow hunters, you will see a correlation between the hemlocks and nightshades. I bought 6 blisters of shadow hunters (which equal 12 hemlocks and 12 nightshades) and two blisters of wraithships (which equal 2 auroras) (Or dragon ships, whichever you think looks cooler) and one yriels's flagship (which equals the voidstalker).

You can buy this all for 25% discount with free shipping ($106.50 total) from www.dropzoneonline.ecrater.com/

I now have completly replaced my eldar list (1620 without additions) with cooler looking models while using the same corsair rules. I havent had any complaints as far as repping is concerned, in fact, I get alot of compliments on the idea. The craftworld rules are kinda lacking when compared to the corsair list.

And by the way, if you havent noticed, that is an optimum fleet build for a large fleet list. Lots of escorts with the help of cruisers. yriels flagship (voidstalker) isnt imperative to the list, its just nice to have a large flagship for the sake of it.

If you need them the nearly complete rules are listed on the specialist games site for pdf download, so you can check out the rules. BFG2 is almost (hopefully) upon us.
