Here are the new pics from this week's cry havoc! online.

They all look fannnnnntastic to me Although the detail on the faces can't hold a candle to Brian Nelson's guard.

Here's the last interesting pic (the only other one was a concept sketch I put up last week):

Looks like this one of the weapons for the upcoming plastic golem they're going to release for the dwarves.

You can't be serious about the Cadian faces right? The Cadian faces, with the big helmets, look like short bus riders. I don't know how to say it any nicer. Those heads are the reason Forgeworld made a kit to replace them.

Oh I'm dead serious.  They look far from slowed.  The quality of the sculpting is supurb and Brian's facial detail sculpting is extremely highly regarded.  Note that the details are deliberately exaggerated to allow them to stand out on 28mm miniature.  And no- the quality of the faces is NOT the reason why FW did the resin heads.  They did the resin heads because many people felt the helmets were too large, which is a criticism that's actually warranted.  The extra detail and less exaggerated faces you see on the FW heads are a product of the material used.  Those faces would be impossible to produce in a plastic kit.  If you want faces that aren't plain and undetailed in plastic you have to make them a bit more exaggerated as a result of the limitations of the casting process.

I doubt you'd find many people that would trade the faces on the crapachans for those on the cadians.

Hey, I love Brain Nelson, don't get me wrong, but I guess it is a combination of the big helmets and the constipated faces that just don't work for me. I hear you on the Catachan faces, but that doesn't make the Cadian ones right. I like the White Star faces, but the Rackham painters can make dog poop win Golden Demons, so who really knows what the sculpt looks like.

And the point is moot anyway. The guys with the full facemasks always look cooler (e.g. Steel Legion, White Star Tri-scope guys, Kasrkin, SL Grenadiers, KillZone bad guys, Spartan, etc...). Plus, in the far future, it just makes good sense...

Hells yeah on the full face masks. If I end up getting some of those models I'll be green casting the face masks and adding them to all the unmasked guys
