Subject: Crackpot theory- Not DA, but Angels of Death

A friend of mine who runs a gaming store told me about his new theory. He thinks that the next codex will not be just Dark Angels, but a new angles of death codex like in 2nd with DA and BA in one book. I found this to be completely against GW's current practices, so I asked for his reasoning. He got the idea from the order catalog from his supplier. When the new codex approaches, like with Eldar, the old stuff shows that it will only be available up until a certain date, then out of print. Then the new stuff is available to replace it. His current catalog show that all the old Dark Angel characters, and Blood Angel characters are soon to go out of print. He then showed me in his catalog, and it did show that. No other stuff was showing to go out of production except for DA and BA characters and on the same date. This idea doesn't sound right to me, but why would they stop making the Blood Angels characters? Discuss.

I thought I had heard that kind of info as well, but that still leaves the question of the BA characters. Why discontinue them? (not that I really care being a space wolf player myself)

Probably just because Blood Angels are next.
Or simply to make room for new models.

I think Insaniak's got it: Because BA are next... Beyond that, there isn't much more to read into it...

Noooo! No Blood Angels! There's only one direction for BAs to go, and that's Nerf.
I play Blood Angels, I love my Blood Angels, but if GW releases a Codex for them that doesn't nerf them, they're crazy.

There was this rumor from the Reshirts at the battle bunker where I live. Not going to happen. For all the above reasons.

So are Eldar Guardians, most likely to release a box that has two Guardian sprues (8 models), and a HW sprue (gun + 2 Crew) giving you a 10-man squad w/Gun. BYE

HBMC makes a great point. GW is probably going to go that route with the guardians because it combines to SKU's into one and makes it better for us all in terms of fielding said unit of guardians.
