Over X-mas, I recieved the Macragge starter set and became very much addicted to 40k. But, I had also recieved an Xbox and a copy of Halo. After heavy indulgince of both and the spark of Halo Wars, I got to thinkin':

What if Halo got 40k-ed?

Spartan Detachment -- 20 pts

WS: 4 BS: 4 S:4 T:3 W:2 I:4 Ld:10 4+ armour save 5+ invulnerable save

Unit Size: 1-4

Weapons: Battle Rifle ( 18" S4 AP6 Assault 2). 2 models may take a weapon from the following list: grenade launcher at +3 points, flamer (needler maybe) at +4 points, autopistol and power weapon at +10 points. A single spartan may take a Heavy stubber at +5 points, a heavy bolter at +8 points, a missle launcher at +10 points, or a lascannon at +15 points.

Deadly Warriors: Spartans may take one of the skills at the cost per model: furious charge +3 points, infiltrate +3 points, acute senses at +1 point, tank hunter at +3 points.

Being tactical masters, Spartans can improve the cover they are in, enhancing the save by +1, to a maximum of 2+.

Let the Codex: Halo begineth!

The Hammer

If you did up the figures, I doubt you'd have no takers for a game played under your fanset.

The drinking halls of Fenris or South London as its sometimes called

sure you can do that. There are enough Halo players who play 40k that might be willing to give it a go.

I did do those numbers. They were suggested by a friend.
But none the less, it would be slightly interesting for wh40k players to play against halo players.
The Flood: First army that can take over enemy bodies and vehicles.
The Covenant: A small bit from several armies create this mish-mash of religious xenos.
The Humans: Pffft. Yer kiddin' me, right? Use the IG codex.

Now, you can easily convert the stuff from Halo into 40k directly (e.g. Marines=Imperial Guardsmen, Spartan/Elites=Space Marine Scout, etc).
OR you can break the shackles of confignment the rules have set and create brand new ones.
I mean, just look at the Needler.
Twin-linked for its enemy seeking bullets, Rending for the explosion, Possible Assault if akimbo, etc.

Why not field the armies as "counts as"? :

Flood: Nids, Genestealer Cult, Slave Levy Guard or Gland Warriors Guard.
Humans: Imperial Guard w/ Deathwath kill team as Spartans. Spartans hunt aliens, right?
Covenant(brutes, prophets, and drones): Thousand Sons. Brutes are rubric marines, Prophets are sorcerers, and Drones are Screamers or Flamers. Drones tend not to show up at the beginning of a battle anyway.
Covenant Separatists: Lost and the Damned or Alpha Legion. Weak guys, led by strong guys, supported by really stong guys. Oblits as Hunters, Cultists/Traitors/Mutants as Grunts, Chaos Marines as elites.

This makes brutes have the same statline as elites, except the elites can infiltrate and the brutes have an extra wound.

Grunts are Grots in a sence. Ditto for Jackals, but the Jackals get some sort of Invul save from their shields.
Covenant squads are the same as Ork mobs.
Flood are Fearless.
I like the rubric for the Elite/Brute stats.

Keep up the good work while I search up the creatures you used for templates.

I forgot about the Jackals. Kroot Hunter Kindred would work.

Like I said, I don't have the right internet connection.
Slower than slowed molassess in a Siberian winter.
I would go to a movie while waiting for the PDF software to download if it didn't tie up the phone line.
