Attention on Deck!  Death Korps of Krieg On Deck!
AdeptiCon‘s 40K Gladiator tournament has become renowned for its level of competition, quality of play, and of course, its prizes.  At AdeptiCon 2007, the 40K Gladiator champion will become the proud owner of an entire ForgeWorld Death Corps of Krieg army*, with a retail price of over $1000 US.  This army will consist of:
  • 1 x Death Korps of Krieg Command HQ
  • 2 x Death Korps of Krieg Platoon HQs
  • 4 x Death Korps of Krieg Infantry Squads (both firing and advancing)
  • 1 x Death Korps of Krieg Mortar Team
  • 5 x Death Korps of Krieg Lascannon Teams
  • 4 x Death Korps of Krieg Autocannon Teams
  • 3 x Death Korps of Krieg Heavy Bolter Teams
  • 1 x Death Korps of Krieg Grenadier Squad
  • 1 x Grenadier Centaur Light Assault Carrier
  • 1 x Mars Alpha-pattern Leman Russ
  • 1 x Mars Alpha-pattern Leman Russ Vanquisher

you dont necessarily need him.  The FW Khorne daemon and similar high point models are a handicap for many of the Gladiator missions.   For the past 3 years, I have taken RT type lists with a bit extra firepower and done no worse than 2-1-1.

The championship last year came down to two armies that had no forgeworld.

A regular Word Bearers army vs. a regular Drop Pod army.

It also doesn't help that I'd rather play in the LotR tourney on Friday, and really don't want to play 3 days of tourneys.

I did the iron-man series 2 years ago and don't have a great desire to repeat it.
