We have been kicking around different ideas at our shop as to how to play the multiple drop pod thing. After looking at the drop pod survey and seeing that a lot of you chose "C" as the way that they play I came up with a situational question that maybe you could explain.

Again this is only for people who chose "C" as the way they play

What happens in the following situation?

You have drop pod 1 and drop pod 2 on the table waiting for their scatter roles. The drop pod player rolls the scatter for #1 and it scatters into #2....

Does pod #1 ignore the existance of pod #2 because technically scatter has not been rolled yet for it so it is not really there, or does it's "pseudo" existance at the time prevent the first pod from scattering into or past it and it stops at pod 2's location.

If it is in fact hemmed in by the pod that has not rolled yet, how do you stop players from abusing this by using their other pods to keep things where they want them?

AGAIN, I AM NOT STARTING A DEBATE. I AM SIMPLY TRYING TO EXAMINE DIFFERENT POSSIBILITIES FOR THE SHOP AND THIS INSTANCE WAS BROUGHT UP.

I hope to have such a death--lying in triumph upon the broken bodies of those who slew me.

I will quote myself from the Droppod survey. From this Thread, http://www.dakkadakka.com/Forums/tabid/56/forumid/15/postid/106352/view/topic/tpage/2/Default.aspx :

" I personally think C is the best way to play, though a bit impractical; As you still can only move each pod one at a time, you can choose which ones will get priority if any happen to scatter into one another."

So, IMO, you just roll for scatter and whichever pod is rolled for first gets priority for any given spot.

And BTW..... YMDC can make a debate over anything, at the drop of a hat. So no use trying to pre-empt one.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.
