So I was at Linens and Things today, err...I mean, the wife forced me to go to Linen's and Things when I stumbled upon this: As you can see it's a collapsible wheeled case. It's called the Quick Cart and I payed about 30 bucks for it. The yellow lid snaps on and off and the handle telescopes wether the whole thing is folded up or not just in case the thing needs to be carried. But the coolest part of all is this: The dimensions are perfect for stacking the Sabol trays side by side. It actually holds the exact same capacity as two of the Sabol ArmyTransport cases. In fact, the Sabol cases can be stacked right on top of the thing and wheeled around too. For those who really have no life at all (me) foam can also be purchased from craft stores in sheets and cut to create customizeable trays as well. This thing could easily carry your Superheavies with room to spare. Is it going to be Infantry, Mechanized, or straight up Armoured Company? Who cares! I'll bring it all to the store and decide there! P.S. If there's a better place for this thread or if plugging a product like this is a nono feel free to move or kill this thread.

Again, this proves how hardshell is superior to soft cases.
I never understood why sabol made nylon softsided cases for anything other than to be cheap.
Sure peopl like them, but compare durability of hard side with soft side and the choice becomes clear.
Good find, Glaive. I have been looking for a good hardsided case from Joans fabrics, but havent found anything that is suitable yet. I guess once I move to MN I will be able to find a "linens and things" to get this.

http://www.lnt.com/home/index.jspThey're all over the place, but the two in MT are in Billings and Missoula. You're in Helena, right? Which would put you around 4 hrs and 2 hrs drive from those stores, respectively. Yeesh. One of the stores in MN will undoubtedly be closer.

Yeah, thats the problem with everything here, Mannahnin. If you want to do anything (visit friends, go play a game, nightclubbing, even shopping sometimes) you have to dedicate 4 hours round trip for driving time for your day minimum, no matter where you live in MT. Helena is the capitol, but it isnt a social or economic hub by any means. Kinda understandable though, as this entire state hasnt broken the one million population barrier yet. (its sad when you have to drive all the way to calgary just to find a decent place to go dancing that doesnt involve hicks.)

Walmart has something called "memorystor" that is the same thing. Not sure about the lid though. You may have a walmart closer to you so it isn't such a a hassle to get one of these. ender502

Posted By rryannn on 02/04/2007 6:53 AM very good idea. I do have 1 question though.... What size foam were you able to fit six tanks in? It's 4" foam. I just bought a yard of the stuff from Joan's. I never use the lasguns on the Chimera though. I just put something behind there and leave the spot looking like a porthole. That definately cuts down on the footprint of the things. I also leave the entire gundeck and cannon as a seperate piece on my Basilisks. I just slide the whole thing out of the rear. If you try this though be sure to fit test the thing to make sue the gun shield doesn't hang up on the track guards (if they're used). My Russ's are all magnetized too so the hull without sponsons and hull weapon doesn't take up much space at all.

<strong class="sans">Can Be Used As Seating Stool (250) Lbs Max. Weight[/b] I laughed out loud when I read that, for two reasons. #1 - who in their right mind would accually sit on their army. #2 - the max weigh would exclude about 50% of the players out there from sitting on the tote.

Here are links to the pics if that works better. It's just on photobucket. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o104/fiestafanatic/ArmyTransport/Unfolded.jpg http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o104/fiestafanatic/ArmyTransport/Folded.jpg http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o104/fiestafanatic/ArmyTransport/Full.jpg http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o104/fiestafanatic/ArmyTransport/ReadyToGo.jpg I highly doubt that the creators of this thing intended it to be used as an army transport. When they made the statement about sitting on it and the weight limit I seriosly doubt they were picturing a rotund nerd stressing the plastic just a few centimeters above his fragile army. It happens to work well as an army transport, but that wasn't it's primary reason for invention. That said, I would have no problem sitting or standing on mine. The thing is pretty rigid when unfolded. I'm also < 200 lbs.

Posted By Glaive Company CO on 02/06/2007 10:23 AM I'm also < 200 lbs. Fat ass! Yeah, thats right! I am talking to you, Gigantor! Take your fat nerd stink somewhere else, as there isnt any star trek convention going on here, blubber-butt! Damn Paul, I bet treadmills run at the sight of your approach. What the hell do you need an army transport for? I am sure a shut-in like you wont be leaving the confines of your dungeon to play games. And if you do manage to cut a hole in the wall of your house large enough to leave, I am sure that you will need a donut shop every 30 feet so to entice you to stretch those lard toes a few feet further to play a game in a game shop. Too bad your home is so isolated and far away from the outside world...I bet you would starve to death if it wasnt for you eating your wife and kids! LOL Wow! Boy oh boy, that was livid. I didnt even mean to be that course, it just flew outta me. I must have some hidden repressive need to beat up fatties or something... lol. By the way I am also just barely less than 200 lbs as well.
