Subject: Formula P3 paints delayed?...

... http://forums.privateerpress.com/index.php?showtopic=107174 According to this, the Formula P3 paints which were supposed to be released this month may be delayed due to problems with the racks for the paints. Has anyone heard this or anything else?

Well it happens. When i preorded the gundam kit from HLJ it kept saying Release Dec... Then it was Jan, in the end it came out early Feb. It's no biggie. Personally I'm looking forward to the release of the GW foundation series. It'll be interesting to compare these to the P3.

It's not so much as there is a delay, it's just that Privateer hasn't stated that there is one when they're usually good about such things. If they're not going to be released this month like the website says, at least let us know.

Whether its a bs excuse or not, Privateer Press is usually good about communicating issues with the customers. Their veracity may be questionable, but they aren't cloistered in their ivory tower -actively- ignoring their consumers. It doesn't prove that they are saints or that they are faultless. Even if they've the devil's tongue to lie with, it shows that they are at least -trying- to court my loyalty. The same cannot be said for some other miniature companies.

It's worth noting, that Privateer has had the second wave of P3s in their product line up under Feb. as a goal, but has never actually attached a street date to it and has always had it marked as "to be announced".

Yes, and since Privateer Press releases on Fridays it is no longer possible for them to be released in February.

Basically they had to put them somewhere on the release schedule, but they knew there were production issues with the P3s beyond their control and even to this date, never attached an official release/street date.

There may not have been an exact date, but they still placed it under February, so they must have expected them sometime this month. If they didn't, then they should have placed them under a 'To Be Decided' heading rather than arbitrarily choosing a month.

With as much as people complain about missed dates when there wasn't one attached, maybe your right.

in all honesty, how hard is it to update the website.. ok, a missed date isn't that big of a thing, until you ignore it. then, as we see here, it escolates.
@ redstripe.. come on man, don't hold back, tell us how you really feel. sheesh, a bit of brevity here please. My comment was said with tongue firmly seated in my cheek.. you have a pressure problem you need to go outside and loosen the valves a bit..
rofl..
