For people who want to win and all it costs is 100% of the points allocated for your army. Why make a broken army when you can have an I WIN button. Limit 1 per army.

Comparing tournament records is another form of e-peen measuring.

I like this idea. Call it a "Strategic Weapon", cost it at half of anyone's army, and suppose that it only allows pyrrhic victories. If both players use one, then both players suffer major defeats. Sounds great for the tournament circuit.

In rogue trader there was something very close to that. It was the original orbital bombardment IIRCC. Vaped everything in a 3' radius. Nasty indeed.

Sounds like a great excuse to declare a teleport attack by your Terminators on the spacecraft doing the bombardment. Good times.

Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

According to legend, Space Marines were immune to Virus Grenades.
If I wanted to be snide I could say, "Why take one I Win button when you can take an entire army full" XD

It's like GW is writing this you havent even said what is does which means that right now this weapon is just a name a very expensive name. (dont ridicule me remember how obvious it was that termanators had termanator armour yet someone still said they didn't)- Avoid these people.
Modeling wise it have to be big red and glowy or it just wouldn't make sense.

Genestealer armies with the psycic ability temporal distort had one of the biggest I win buttons going during the old Rogue Trader days. This power gave them the ability to eliminate their opponents shooting phase any time it was used. There's nothing quite like seeing your IG standing dumfounded for two turns as a horde of Stealers descends upon them.

I don't know about the "I win" button. However,I have seen the,"Oh,look at the time. I've gotta go. Wanna just call this one a draw?" button used on several occasions when things start looking bad for an army.
