Looks pretty nice to me. It also looks expensive, though. Seems it might be sold as a big set and also as 3 different buildings with the walls and outhouse thrown in somewhere, similar to the CoD stuff. I don't play fantasy, but I'm tempted. I already have 2 mighty fortresses I never use though.. ") edit - forgot to add the URL

The pic looks nice, it's quite a bit cheaper then I would have thought (only 75 quid) the big CoD box was £100. It doesn't look so flexible though Is it made out of cardboard?

We've seen the plastic sprues for these before, but cool to see a happy painted and displayed pic. For most fantasy games I play this is more than enough terrain, when you add in some nice woods and hills. - Boss Salvage 666 FTW - I regret it wasn't more eevil, but good day for it O_O

Looks pittoresque...maybe too much, though, but the creepy forest isn't in the pic either.

I like the mood and tone. These aren't just medieval buildings, these are Warhammer buildings. Definitely will be picking some up.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. |

Gonna be awesome for Mordheim/ Conf: Dogs of War and whatnot too! Warmachine will be great with the steam-tower there.

I might pick these up for WM/Mordheim, if I can find it on discount...

I think the lesson here is the best way to enjoy GW's games is to not use any of their rules.--Crimson Devil |

Sigh. I really, really like the way those look. I know I will buy some. And I hate myself for it. Right now, that's $148.53 U.S. Prices subject to change due to currency fluctuations.

And the trees just cap it all off. It would make such a wonderful looking, characterful table.

I like the mood and tone. These aren't just medieval buildings, these are Warhammer buildings. Which is why I probably will not be picking these up. They are way too... ahistorical... for my tastes. Why could these have not looked like 3d versions of the mordheim terrain? That was some good looking stuff, still fantasy versions of actual historical buildings, but with the half timber look, and more importantly looked like people could live in them. Plus, these look like they are not very variable. Can you build anything else but the building displayed? The trees on the other hand look like a great little kit, and I will certainly be getting them.

This set is sooo tempting. I've already even built my own Watchtower (which I'm quite proud of) and my own trees (from wire) but I want all of this terrain. 75 pounds sterling would be like $135 US. That's not bad for all of those buildings. Ozymandias, King of Kings

Sorry, but I don't like them. Way too cartoonish for me. Looks like a faery tale playmobil set. Of course, they can't even compare to previous Warhammer scenery released by Forgeworld. (FYI, I'm referring to this: http://www.stephane.info/show.php?code=forgeworld_town)

Tempting, but I'll likely pass. Buildings for the most part aren't as important in WFB as in 40K. Also, I could buy 1000 points of most armies for the same price - little hard to justify.

At first glance, I thought the picture was of a Playmobil set... The red is so bright. I don't find them cartoony at all. These buildings are a little "steampunk" so they should work fine with WM/Hordes as well. Ozymandias, King of Kings EDIT: Forgot to mention that the coaching in alone from Forgeworld costs more than the whole GW set combined.

Hmmm.I prefer to make my own buildings, those are a bit too cartoony for me. Although I think they are nice looking, just not the right style. They remind me sorta of World of Warcraft.

All GW games may only be played on an official GW battleboard with GW scenery, dice, and tape measures and Citadel Miniatures. I'm not sure what gave you the impression otherwise Da Boss.

Forgeworld scenery is nice, but I'm not paying that much for it. I will however be getting 3 sets of these painted up for my shop, and 1 to take home for myself.

Posted By Da Boss on 04/13/2007 4:45 PM Actually, sorry, a thought occured to me: How long until you can only use official GW scenery at tourneys? The strange thing is, I was first going to make a snappy comment about "since when do you have to bring your own terrain?" But then again, it IS Games Workshop, so you just never know when they need to make the next cost reduction. However, I do like this stuff quite a lot so far. Definitely suits the Warhammer vibe that they have been giving lately, though I would probably tone down the colors a bit.

"The first release for the new Warhammer Scenery, this set gives you a fantastic amount of scenery ot use in your games of Warhammer. This set contains the following items: 1 Fortified Manor, 1 Watchtower, 1 Chapel and 3 sets of Walls and fences." Unless the trees come with the walls and fences or one of the buildings , I think you'll be disappointed.

Forests, hills, rivers and lakes are more important for games of fantasy, and GW have half of that covered pretty well already. I'd like premade water features.

If Im spending that kind of money I'll buy buildings made by the Miniature Building Authorty. yes they are expeensive, but they have interiors, come pre painted, and are more realistik making them useful for more than just Warhammer. I have limited space to store scenry, so I need to choose the scenry that will give me the most milage.

Same is true for me. My apartment is small, so I'm limited to a 4x4 gaming board too.And any more space given to wargames stuff would probably make my girlfriend cry.
