Hi all, I have just started a new commission project blog under the couch... I'm building a pair of Commissar Tank Commanders, one for a Death Corps of Kreig army: ... and one for an opposing Renegade force: You can follow the progress of the project on the Under The Couch forums here.

Cool project, I like where both are headed, especially the renegade tanker. Seeing procreate in action is interesting too ...

Wow Insaniak, that chaos commander is absolutely fantastic. I LOVE the sculpting you did. You've really grown as a sculptor since I last saw your work. That is absolutely castable. And I'd pay more then $10 for a resin cast of him, and I have no LATD army to use him in!

Well, these guys are done... ...although I actually still need to get another set of pics of the renegade, as he got a chaos sigil added to the inside of his hatch at the last minute...

Thanks for posting the results, they look very nice. For some reason I didn't expect the Evil guy to mirror the Good so closely, but it works very nicely. The single epaulet (?) on the Evil is a nice touch too.

The evil one is super sweet, especially the cap with the chaos symbol on the top.

I think you should find a tank with two top hatches near each other, and have the two of them pointing at each other.
They're great tho.

I've been working on a couple of sculpts, and looking into casting.. at this point just tinkering with different resins and silicons to find what works best, although when I'm actually ready to go ahead with it, it's entirely possible I'll just decide it's all too hard and/or time consuming and use a casting service instead. Definitely won't be casting anything converted from a GW mini though. It's just something that I'm keeping in mind for once I get a couple of original sculpts that I'm happy with... And no, I'm not doing the tanks. These guys were a slightly unusual job for me, as I normally only do complete models, not components. But it was an interesting enough idea, and the commanders themselves are practically complete models anyway, so I thought it was worth a go...
