This guy was a lot of fun, I really liked the Carnifex model, but I wasn't really all that happy with the hunched over pose. After a bit of rearranging, and some other modification, we have the big bug:

LOTS more pictures in the gallery here:

Man that paint scheme is eerily similar to my Hive Fleet.

Really, really nice paint job IMO but I do have to say that the model doesn't look at all like a Hive Tyrant but rather just a Carnifex standing up.

Reversing the back carapace just looks wrong to me and there is nothing besides the Lash Whip/Boneword that even attempts to note the model as a Hive Tyrant.

Still kudos for the great effort and the fantastic paint job!

Sweet model! Paint job is awesome. Good for you for making something a little different. Who cares if it does not look like the GW Tyrant, there are enough of those as it is. Personally, I think the Bone sword and Lash Whip make it pretty obvious what it is.

I would love to switch my heavy, easy to break, metal Tyrants to plastic... one day...

Pin the parts of the Tyrant together that you commonly get breaks at...it'll really help

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

I did that once with one of my 'Fexes.

The one I made did look exactly like a Hive Tyrant, so I quickly tore it apart and rebuilt it as a normal one.

I've still got a couple of unbuilt 'Fexes waiting for attention, so one of them will end up looking like that (they're so TALL!), but as a 'Fex I don't like 'em like that.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

I dont like it, but tat is the choice of head and weapon pose, not the conversion or paintjob, both of which are excellent.
