Doing up a fresh marine to toy with my basic color scheme a bit. Here are some of the WIP pics

The white trim is the new marine. The lascannon is the oldest of the three you see here.

Got some more paint on him. He's coming along slowly because really this is my first model in months. Hopefully the next few will speed up as I get back into the swing of things.

On with the pics:

I'm liking the white detailing/trim more and more with every look.

Thoughts?

The difference is really pronounced in that shot with the Lascannon guy. Nice job.

Did you strip/repaint or paint something new?

he's not quite finished just yet, i still have to paint a few pieces and weather him a bit.

He's a fresh model.  I am going to go back on some of my older stuff and see what i can do without having to do a complete strip repaint.

I finally got to sit down and finish up his paint. I'm rather pleased with the results. Now if I could just get back full swing with this whole painting thing, I might be able to finish an army someday...someday very far into the future...

Anyways, here he is, comments and suggestions are more than welcome. No varnish yet, still have to pick it up, so changes can still be made!

Love the white. Small models need some eye-catching color, IMO. Love the terrain in the last pic!

I'd play with the grey a little bit more. Some glazing with blackink+water, then some white/dark grey streaks and chipping, and a little rust here and there. Fun, fast and gives that extra layer of realism and interest.

Looooovely terrain! I love the yellow/white paint on the tarmac...need to copy that.

thanks for the replies guys ^_^

I really do think the white will be a permanent addition to my color scheme now.  It adds the much needed POP that they've been lacking all these years.

I'll probably go back on this one and add some weathering and such, not too much, but a few scratches here and there will do the trick for me.  Anything more and it gets away from the look I'm going for.

More stuff will probably come this weekend.  Stay Tuned.
