So I'm set on playing the Chaos, we already got two imperial players, crons, and nids, so I thought i'd balance it out some. Here's my idea for a 2000pt list.

List #1
1 Repulsive Class Grand Cruiser (Ld8 Chaos Lord, Improved Dorsal Range)

1 Repulsive Grand Cruiser (Improved Dorsal Range)

2 Hades Class Heavy Cruisers

2 Devastation Class Cruisers

1 Carnage Class Cruiser

3 Murder Class Cruisers

List #2
1 Repulsive Class Grand Cruiser (Ld8 Chaos Lord, Improved Dorsal Range)

3 Devastation Class Cruisers

1 Carnage Class Cruiser

3 Murder Class Cruisers

2 Slaughter Class Cruisers

3 Infidel Raiders

the first list would be more of a stand and out gun the enemy lines with my long range lances and when they get close hammer them with a the might of the two grand cruisers. the second fleet is more of a flanking approach, where the main line does it's thing while the slaughters and infidels race off to the enemy flanks and harass their sides and rear.
Comments and ideas on how to better my fleet are appreciated

my fleet has actually recently received a revise and here is it as it stands now

- 1 Hades Class Heavy Cruiser (Ld8 Chaos Lord)

- 2 Hades Class Heavy Cruisers

- 2 Devastation Class Cruisers

- 1 Carnage Class Cruiser

- 2 Murder Class Cruisers

- 2 Slaughter Class Cruisers

- 3 Infidel Raiders

i feel it's enough ships to not be easily taken down by a battleship heavy fleet, and has enough variation to deal with most any situation that i could encounter with the fleet, ie IN, eldar, etc.

Its a good list, I find a Hades and Murder Class very affective against Imperial ships, wouldn't yet know about other races as I'm new myself.
