Can power of the machine spirit allow any of these, legally, according to the rules if used by a stunned/shaken vehicle?
stunned/shaken predator destructor moves 6" and fires autocannon POMS and heavy bolters as defensive weapons.
stunned/shaken land raider moves 6" and fires lascannon sponson with POMS and heavy bolter defensive weapon.[/list]

P1: Rules for moving vehicles (6") allows one main weapon to fire plus any additional defensive weapons.
P2: POMS allows vehicles that move 6" to fire one weapon despite being shaken/stunned.

Therefore, a vehicle with POMS and shaken/stunned can move 6" and fire one weapon plus any additional defensive weapons (BS2 for all) at the same target.

TRUE or FALSE? Any relevant rules to reinforce answer greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, according to moving and shooting rules, vehicles are allowed one pivot during movement. Can a stunned/shaken vehicle with POMS pivot before moving in a straight line?

If the model is unable to fire due to Stunned Shaken result it will only be allowed to fire a single weapon with POMS. There is no way around that.

I'm fairly certain that a dread can not take POMS.

Your conclusion is false, because it is missing a step: Stunned or Shaken vehicles can't fire any weapons.

POTMS lets them fire one weapon. I have no idea where you are getting the idea that one weapon means one weapon plus any defensive weapons...

Only if you're still playing 2nd edition.

A Shaken vehicle can move as normal.
A Stunned vehicle with POTMS may move directly ahead in a straight line.

... and yes, Dreads can't actually take POTMS.

Can a vindicator with PotMS still fire its main cannon. Because if so....nasty.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Yes Orock.

Sadly, all the new versions of the Marine Codices don't have that as an option anymore.

Chaos, however, has their version (Possession). Sadder still, as good as a Chaos vind vs a new style Loyalist vindi is, I think Obliters are better for most Chaos armies.

Chaos Rhinos /w extra armour loaded with chaos marines packing meltas driving in a flying wedge behind daemonically possessed vindicators... What's not to like?

On a more serious note, I prefer using defilers waddling along behind the marines at 6" a turn.

Wow Dornfist if you seriously were hoping any of that would fly here I bet you have a hard time finding anyone to play.

Dornfist, come on.

PMS does the following:

Allows the vehicle to move in a straight line (as in, no pivoting/turning, etc.) up to its maximum speed.

Allows vehicle to shoot one weapon at BS2 (may do so even if shaken/stunned), so long as vehicle has not moved more than 6". Weapon may be in addition to anything vehicle can normally fire.

In other words:

You shoot my Vindicator w/ PMS. You glance it, and it is stunned. I use PMS to move the Vindi 6" forward, and to shoot the Demolisher Cannon at BS2. Since Ordnance doesn't use Ballistic Skill, the BS rating of the Machine Spirit is moot.

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling, which thinks that nothing is worth war, is much worse. The person, who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Hey, Troll-boy, first of all I'm not one of the several posters that made that comment to you on the post where you had a hissy fit in a tourney when a judge ruled against you. You have me mistaken with them. All I said was get off your high horse and follow the judges rule like everyone else.

Second, why do you assume that I am trying to get any of these to fly? I am looking for rules to REINFORCE these questions. Read the post again, this time without your negative bias from the previous post.

Lastly, I have never argued a rule to the point where the game degenerated into a pathetic experience for the players involved (no matter how correct I thought I was), something you cannot say with a straight face, can you?
