Played a game the other day with Eldrad on one side and the Deceiver on the other side. We both deployed and then we both tried to figure out who got to redeploy stuff last. I can think of at least one other thing in the game that has an ability like this(guard piece of wargear that I can't remember the name of). Has anyone ever come across this before and how did you resolve it?

Age before beauty, so the Deceiver goes first...

But seriously, it'd have to be a dice-off, since there's nothing that says one has priority over the other.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Deceiver goes second.

Eldrad's redeployment right after unit placement. Deceiver's is somewhere between end of placement and first movement. (And after Scout moves and similar.)

(+Deceiver kicks in after word in your ear...it would be more interesting to know hot to solve Callidus vs Eldrad...d6?)

The time that I played eldrad v. eldrad, we diced to go first, and alternated redeploying units a la deploying infiltrators.

I would play eldrad v. deciever (or v. callidus) in the same way.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

This came up at the 'Ardboys with me having Eldrad and my opponent having the Deceiver.

We had to dice off for it.

I believe that they have the same wording that they go after all deployment.

They do not have the same wording.
Eldrad is right after placement.
Deceiver is before movement, but after placement.

Probably RAW is very hard to use on this one...but using any bit of information - the Deceiver goes last. (as well vs Callidus)
