Well the title says it all.
I see kroot as kinda feral. Fluff allows for kroot mercs to be roaming about and whos to say that they didn't salvage/ buy some tanks and dakkaguns along the way.
It wouldn't quite be the cheapest conversion but I think it's doable.

If you look for the Kroot Mercs list, which should be in the UK site, the pdf includes some modelling suggestions. There's a Kroot with huge arms and Ork armor in there.
the main hurdle is deciding how to mod. Orc trucks would make okay kroot trucks. Some nodded trolls wouldmake a decent warboss/shaper. I don't know what to do for lootas though.
