With the holidays done and loot burning holes in my pockets, I decided to rummage around the GW site. While the page took forever to load, I read this description next to the 40K rule book:
"This rulebook is a revision of the current rules system (incorporating fan feedback over the past few years), the new rules will improve the present game, rather than create a brand new game system with brand new rules. As such, all current armies and Codex books will be completely compatible with the upgraded rules. So all the hard work and effort you have sunk into your modelling, converting and collecting projects has not, in any way, been a waste of time."
1) Is this blurb new or has it been there for a while?
2) If new, is this GW's attempt to deny 40K.5 in order to keep sales of the books from declining?
3) If it's old, can anyone shed some light on what revisions were made?
