I'm trying to create a new eldar army and I'm trying to come up with a unique color scheme so all help is appreciated. I run a transport-heavy army so whatever colors I decide on need to look good on tanks. I'm a proficcient painter so I'll most likely understand terms etc...

First is mainly white with contrasting black in recesses with bright red or green gems everywhere I can put them to keep the miniature from looking too monotone. Yes I know the gems will be daunting but I think it will look really awesome when finished. Contrasting scorpion geen eyes.

Second in the Altansar color scheme, so a lot of black to red blending. Green gems and eyes.

Third is the Yme-Loc which is described as having grey tanks with orange details. I cannot find any pictures of this army other than the sample GW gives so help would be appreciated there.

Currently I really like the Altansar idea annd Yme-Loc, it makes the most sense from a fluff perspective to pick Yme-Loc as in their description they use grav-tanks. At this point I'm basically relying on general opinion and I thank you for your time.

If you go with Yme-Loc, use some grey with a little blue in it, or tint the grey with a little color. I think codex grey or fortress grey would be way too dull. I would work my way up from shadow grey, for example.

If more of us valued food and cheer and 40K over hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.

So any other comments, questions, feedback is awesome and at this point I'm liking Yme-Loc.

On GW's website, I like the Zahr-Tann scheme. What I went for with my Eldar was similar to the Alaitoc scheme, though I used Purple as the main color and Black as the secondary with red and gold as minors. The same pattern using mild oranges or browns would look pretty cool in my opinion.

Here's a WIP sample of an early Vyper from when I started my army, maybe it'll give you some inspiration. Sorry my photography is pretty lousy. Hope this helps
