Has anyone bought anything from their web store? What's their shipping like? Their web page seems curiously devoid of any informative information on shipping and international orders.

I thought they went under years ago. I used to like their stuff back in the day though.

Someone bought their molds and is running it again. You
should email them. They've been behind ever since on
orders, though.

What about thier old 40k stuff? I didn't see anything on the website. Are they not allowed to make it anymore?

no. i believe they had a license for a short time for making super-heavies (eg titans & baneblades) but then GW made a seriuos move in to the US and the license ran out.

Yeah, I have one of their old Baneblade/Shadowsword tanks I picked up sometime around 1996 or so. It's interchangable, you pull one gun turret off the wheels and chassis and put the other one in. If they're back in business, I need to go check them out.

They are back, but as stated already, they are not selling anything dedicated to 40K. They've still got a large selection of 28mm terrain and such. I have no experience with their current shipping as I haven't used them yet.
How far behind are they Malfred?

Armorcast is alive and well and re-releasing all of the old terrain, plus new stuff. They're backed up right now for the old fashioned reason: resin takes a long time to cure, not enough hands, and lots of orders.
If it's something they have in stock, they're pretty good at shipping it, but I would email and ask what the ETA is on anything you need in a hurry. I can ask my friend who does some freelance work for them what the current delay is and report back.

Well let us know if you order anything and how quit it comes.
I'm considering ordering the Frost Wyrm dragon to mount Karl Franz on.

I think as early as yesterday they said they were caught up.
My friend bought something and it took nearly two weeks
before they got to sending him his things, iirc.

I talked to my buddy at Armorcast, and apparently they have enough orders coming in and production going out to basically keep afloat. At times, they're literally pouring stuff on demand. They're looking to free up some labor and get more production going, but right now they're scrambling to get stuff out.
What does this mean to you, the consumer? Well, Most of the time they'll be able to get your order out the door next day. Often, they'll be backed up. The up side is that they're not ignoring orders, they are literally making stuff that got ordered before yours.
I don't speak for the company in any way, nor did this info come from anybody in ownership or managment, but it's pretty reliable.
