Planning on taking this to the GT final next month. Decided to change it a bit from what I qualified with to give stealths an option against armour and heavy infantry and I never used the bonding knife on my broadsides anyway!

I'd be interested to see what you would take and for you to expand on how I'm missing a lot of firepower. I can understand the warfish probably being part of your summation but for some reason I keep it in (probably something to do with the freak results it gets such as killing Fexes in one turn of shooting).

Any reason why you don't fill up your heavies and don't take targeting arrays on your suits?

Yes, your Crisis Suits are BS3. You have a couple markerlights to help every now and then. Essentially you are firing constantly with sheer weight of fire, and if you lose a unit of FW so what? This is an avoidance army that punishes people who cross onto your side of the board with your efficiency getting better the closer they get.

This is the core of my Tau army. It scales up easily. It handles all comers. Armies that are very powerful at 1500 points don't handle it well. You have horde and MC and marine killing on everything. The Kroot make for a great tarpit and a place for the other guy to shoot at when he can't shoot the rest of your army.

Yeah, with 10 Crisis Suits and a couple markerlights, you don't need arrays.

20 shots at 36", 30 shots at 24", and 40 shots at 12" is extremely punishing when it comes in every single turn.
Only marines can walk through the pods if they have a pure marine army--but since that's usually a tankless SAFH they won't be moving much, and Marines die to the plasma. Hordes die to both. MC die to both.

My 3rd heavy choice is always sniper drones, and at 1500 points they cost too much. If you can't knock out his tanks at 1500 points with 2 hammerheads and 10 Crisis Suits, odds are you can't knock his tanks out period.

I see where you coming from but I'd always use my broadsides nowadays, they've do an awesome job for me.

Interestingly enough, I played a nearly identical list to yours at the heats and massacred it. The problem is I don't think the Warhammer world terrain really supports three man crisis units that well, its always quite hard to hide them fully.

Indeed. This is for the UK then? Land of 2"x2" barrel terrain? Hehe, can't hide a toothpick on tables there.
