I was wondering how many points are GTs and RTTs usually? I never really played in the tournament circuit and I just play whatever points at the local gaming club/store. Considering attending the GT in Baltimore possibly and maybe if they have a tournament at Gencon. I usually play like 1000 or 1500 points and tend to play multiplayer sometimes.

GT's i think are generally 1850 but i think RT's are pretty diverse. The RT's ive done were 1250 and the GT i was able to do was 1850 with a 300 point detachment force for some missions.

This year the US GTs were 1750 points.
The US Gamesday Tournaments were 1500 points

Most RTTs range between 1750-2000 points, with most around 1850.

Note that this is the US. The UK is played at 1500 points.

Lower points helps more newer players show up with a army.

Sadly most are 'battleforce' style armies and they lose quickly and often.

2000 points opens up alot of options in most Codices.
