I am Dave, and have been into table top miniatures for roughly 10 years now. I cut my teeth on 40K second edition, just as it was going out, and 3rd was coming in. I have several armies for 40K, but prefer my Orks and my Chaos forces. I also play WHFB, and Warmachine/hordes with Trolls, Khador, Cryx and Cygnar. I have always been redirected to various forum topics from other web boards...so I thought I would just join this one. It is great to finally be here.

Welcome to dakka ddtediejm! That is quite an unusual username, is there a story behind it?

Check out our new, fully plastic tabletop wargame - Maelstrom's Edge, made by Dakka!

When I first started using the internet, low these 10 years ago...I was in Korea, and my friends and I would while away the time watching pro wrestling...the DDT was Jake the Snake Roberts move...so I just blended it with my last name. The JM stands for "Jump Master" as I was on airborne for many years.

Army Airborne by chance? I'm currently enlisted in the navy and at Fort Meade, Maryland for Mass Comm. training (well, formerly, I kinda failed out of the school on a technicality).

"Nail on the head as usual, Nuglitch - why else would grown men spend hundreds of dollars to play what is basically 80's-metal-themed Yahtzee?"

Yes, Army Airborne. I went to school back in '91, did two tours of Bragg and Ft. Polk as an Observer Controller with the Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC). It has been about 5 years since my last jump. I am at 94 static line...and doubt if I ever get any more. I will be retiring well before I see another tour of Bragg. My brother-in-law lives near Meade...small town called Odenton, right out your gate.
