Love the skull hamma! I am trying to figure why the fighta bomba looks familier... but it is escaping me... maybe the Protoss fliers from Star Craft?

Great work so far! I am looking forward to the stompa

Maybe it is the AT-AT head?

He's got a mind like a steel trap. By which I mean it can only hold one idea at a time;
it latches on to the first idea to come along, good or bad; and it takes strenuous effort with a crowbar to make it let go.

You, sir, are a true mekaniak! That Skullhamma is a serious brick. Blockiness is a recurring feature of your work- kudos for keeping with that visual theme.

The fightabomma also features jets made of AT-AT feet. Awesome! I do shudder to think how the above-wing bombs are supposed to detach. Rolling down da wingz, I suppose? Very orky...

EDIT: Damnit, beat to the punch by Anung Un Rama. Gotta type faster.

Yeah, if you can squish a marine under each toe, you're headed in the right direction!

And I'd like to add that it's awesome that the Fighta-bomma looks space-capable. That could make a difference when Planetfall comes out. Orbital landaz, 'ere we come!

This is going to be awsome when it's done and if i may offer my opinion

I would actully when you start properly on the arms make them slightly bigger than the proportions of the body and lean the model forward - arms and all ( all most as if their grabbing at something or about to hit something) i belive it would give the " ork's iz da bigist and da meanist" look that no ork army should be without, in my opinion it would just finish the model of perfectly and with a good paint job be a very imposing model <-- reaction of the IG when they see it lol!!

But hey it is your model after all so do what you think is best

Just my 2c

Tharamanathar

p.s. I havent really got that much expereance in moderling other than basic such as head swapping and basic GS skills so if this isn't possible im sorry for the spam post but i can see this model comming out awsome!

I am of two minds on that subject.
In one, I like the looks of big war machines being giant and elegant, every part working on concery like a huge metal god.
In the other, I imagine a giant ork war machine to be made of many different machines just bolted together, each with it's own autonomy. I envision the Mek saying "We needs more dakka! Let's bolt this killy bit here!" and not bothering to make a coherent centralized control system. So you have maybe 5 orks running one arm, 5 on the other, maybe 3 running the legs, a few running the head cannons, etc., with a Big Mek standing in the middle of it all bellowing orders that are only partially heeded, the result being an iron ganglion of irreconcilable parts pulling in many different directions, heedless of what the others are doing in their battle lust of dakka.

So, you know, either way could work for me.

I'm on the same page, today I cut a 1 inch section from the middle and tilted the top portion ever so slightly forward... for two reasons one I thought the model was a little tall and two to give it a more orky pose. It blows me away that someone thought the exact things that were running though my head.

Lookin' good! I'll never think of Simple Green the same again. "Stomps out dirt!"

That skorcha tube might look odd once it's painted if it's not orked up a bit though- jerr-rigged hose repairs, etc. It's just a lot of smooth tubing.

One main suggestion - thicken up your sawblade. It's way too thin. The rest of it is coming along nicely, although my first impression is that the face is a bit too chaosy rather than orky. Smooth lines and curves? Wot's wiv dat, eh den? We orks don't bovva wiv curvy bits like dat!!
