It's certainly nice to have an army ready when a new Codex comes out. So with that in mind I went ahead and put together a Chaos Daemon army that I hope to try out tomorrow against the locals.

The army at first pass came to 2130 pts, so I'll need to do a lot of trimming and moving to get it at 1750 or even 1500.

I was really happy that it's possible to field all three of my DPs which should look pretty spectacular.

In case you can't tell, the DPs are for Iron Warriors, Night Lords, and Alpha Legion.

And also I'm glad to pull my DP on a Jugger (from the 3rd Edition days) and make him a Herald of Khorne now.

So that's always a good thing.

This army is currently 2 HQ, 2 Elites, 6 Troops, 1 Fast, and 3 Heavy.

The bases are in a state of change, so when I can decide on a common scheme I'll fix'em; please forgive for now.

You sir, have some very sexy models in your collection.

Nice job.

Note: D+ can take over 12 hours of driving in Canada. It's no small task here.

GENERATION 5: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Thanks Verm. I bought a Dark Elf Hydra and modeled the heads on the DP body with green stuff.

Here's some more pictures of that project...

I love the colors! It definitely feels chaotic, but in a "box of crayons left out in the sun" way. The overall effect of the whole group is great.

As my boy would say, this army is made of uber Pwonage. I am not worthy!

This is a stupid question and you can take it offline but, how did you paint those demonettes? I'm likely to get a few and that color scheme is perfect (mind you I sucketh mightily at ye old paintjob).

I based the daemonetts in white and then I created a think mix of purple wash and mixed that with 100% Future Floor Wax. So they were really painted with a tinted purple shade of Future Floor Wax over a white base. It was so glossy after that I had to use a matte varish to bring it back down and complete the detail. Which was a long time, but they're small and have a lot of detail like Sisters. I wanted an absolute perfect gradient from the butt cheek (white) to the inside of the crack (very purple), so I spent the most time there. It was an absolute mess until I Testors dull coated, and everything came together.

Nice, if a little hard on the eyes when they're all together. I guess it's appropriate for Chaos.
