Hiya, have been playing BFG for a short time compared to 40K
I currently own a Imperial Fleet, chaos Fleet and I'm starting Orks an Eldar

In a couple of missions I'd like to use one or two Tau ships as part of a scenerio but as I the price for the Tau ships is far to high for what you get, I'm only wanting two good looking models and I really don't like the look as they don't look like Tau I was wondering if there is a way to build them using GW parts from 40k.

I had a thought of using the Drone top from 40k as the bridge and easily have parts to represent weapons, i can file down rifles and guns to represent lances and batteries. Was hoping for some inspiration really as I'm stumped.

Hi. We threw some ideas about regarding the Tau fleet long before it was released. Also, obviously, that meant that there were no minis. So, one of the guys put some together using 40K Crisis suits:

Forge World also make a fleet for the Tau using models derived from the Fire Warrior FPS game. They are in the BFG section of their site and are very nice.

Thanks very much, I'm sure I've got all those pieces in abundance in my bitz box so we easily have the parts to make two ships.

Yes, have looked at the forge world today, I like the custodian model, very nice. Am very tempted to buy that and start a full Tau fleet now. bang goes my savings lol
