I'm going to have to call shenanigans on this one. The gel glue is MUCH better at filling gaps, but you get lots of "blobbing" if you try to glue two flat surfaces together. And you should always be gluing two flat surfaces together, not trying to bridge a gap with glue (that's what green stuff is for!).
Also, as an aside, stay away from kickers (accelerators). They create a much weaker bond, and there is the risk of the glue "fuzzing" up.
