I realize this is a bit late. I own both of the aformentioned armies, I haven't even looked at the requiremetns for the Ard Boyz tourny, which is rather sad, and I haven't played in months. I figured it might be fun just to go to the tournament and get my arse handed to me (assuming a decent player plays against me or I'll crush any noobs)

With that being stated, which is a better army to bring to the tourny? I don't own any of the new units presented in either new army book for either army, and with reguards to the vampire counts I have nearly 200 painted models, with the exception of no black knights and no tombguard.

Whats the best bet, and if anyone could suggest what they think is best. I'm curious if I can be a successful late commer to the tourny. I'm thinking of just your basic look mah I got 200 skeletons and zombies on the field and 4 necromancers, but if the tourny is 3500 I could run a master necro as well. As for characters I have the guy with the big sword on a horse and I beleive the blood dragon character on a winged nightmare, as well as a ton of characters on foot.

Fire away peeps, and don't forget to call me a noob for posting so late on this topic

I don't know if this affects your decision, but you can fit like
3-4 dragons in a high elves list...

I dunno, at 3500 points I'd just like to sit there and summon faster than they can kill them. Obligatory units of Graveguard, Black Knights, and Blood Knights to do some damage as well.

Umm, start with a new book. No more master necros. But vamps are the hawt. I

still dunno what > KF on dragon, l2 wizards, popemobile, min handgunners +2 units knights, and the rest max steam tanks, cannons, and a mortar.
