Many of the members of the Dakka forums have been around for a LOOOOONG time. Many have come and gone over the years. Some have returned (like me

). Maybe some of the old-timers still lurk. Either way, there have been literally thousands of avid wargamers contributing to this community for a very long time.

To that end, I thought that many of our long time members would appreciate a nice bit of nostalgia. A little something to bring them back a few years. I happened to find a little, unoffensive folder buried in a dark corner of my hard drive. A folder that I have not seen in about 7 years. Way back in dakkadakka 1.0. Most were before the Tau codex was ever released. How it managed to survive that long is beyond me. That little folder was called "dakka galleries." What treasures it held inside!!!

There were oodles of pictures of people's miniatures. There were names of dakka members that I had long forgotten. I remember every one of those people and pictures. I felt I just HAD to share them with the community so that the old-timers could look back and remember those "good old days." A couple of the people whose pics I have are still posting today. It would be neat for them to see some old pic and say, "I remember posting that!" This should be a pretty fun thread, I hope.

Anyway, I am working on consolidating all the pics on my website now and cropping them to a thumbnail-link size. I will be putting them up in sections over the course of today.

Remember, most of these pics are from 2000-2001. Some are from the LAST DECADE!!!

You really got some dig up skils. some of that stuff was more or less deep burried in my memories.

Barph's stuff (and name) is always just below my surface
memory. His was the first scratch built titan I saw on the
forums.

Migsula and kenshin are still around. Cudz posts less now
that he has a "job". Snord and Nightserpent are on the
Waaagh. RantheCid still posts (and runs a bunch of
ADepticon stuff). Scarab's Eldar army was inspirational.

I recall alot of those, but the one that really stuck out was mastiff's highlander marines.

I recall that army being published in WD, and very shortly after that, the army got stolen... Poor guy. Lovely army.

Havent seen the last griffon in a couple years though.

Alien Firebase is Clouseau.

But it's missing some of my favorite clouseau stuff, like the
pink panther space marines, the large scale harlequin, and
the biggerized marines.

The biggerised Termies were the best (I know not everyone thoguht so). The DCCW-style PF was an inspired touch.

If I recall, his Harlequin was the one on the right:

He sculpted the pose LONG before G-Dubbs created the new models. Of course, they changed it enough to make it their own, but they got the pose from Clouseau.

I will dig around on my hard drive some more and see if I can dig up any of his stuff.

I never used to frequent the P&M forum as much back in the day as I do now, so for me the nostalgia was mostly in some of those usernames. I do recall seeing some of Clouseau's stuff that absolutely blew me away.

It wasn't quite that. It WAS a leaping harlequin, but it was
more of a leapfrog pose, iirc.

Very true. Its sword was touching the ground, it was the only bit touching the base.

It looked as though the harlie as in mid leap, legs spread wide nearly akimbo with the ankles touching its butt, with the sword chopping down between its legs.
