Love the NMM on the first dread, should fetch a nice price.

Well the only thing i do not like is the sword because it seems a bit out of proportion but the rest is just sweet.

Isn't that first dread a black templar one?

Er.. or did I read things wrong?

The paintjob on the first one looks fantastic!

On the second one, the mid-section of the sarcophogus looks kinda "tacked on". It's been a long while since I looked at my dread, but isn't the center normally a flush line? I like the angel inset on the side though!

The first dread's torso is absolutely gorgeous. I'm assuming his kneepads/shins/whatever are unfinished? I'll have to reserve judgement on #2 until it's painted.

Great-looking stuff though.

That first one is indeed the Black Templars one, but it still looks quite cool.

Get some junk from the DA Vehicle sprue. Some of it would look quite nice on either dread.

I'm loving the NMM steel on the second one, particularly what you've gotten done on his legs. What colours are you using for it?

Lovely spot of NMM on that first dread, look forward to more paint on the second one to see how the conversion pulls together.

For the nmm i used: P3 Bastion Grey, then applied a wash with Vallejo Burntcad Red , then a wash with Snakebite Leather, Later added an additional wash of mixed Armour Wash (p3) and Scab Red - so that it looks more reddish.
After shading, started highlighting. 1st highlight , mixed bastion grey with Hawk Turquise, so that it still looks kinda grey, and started highlighting white, in several layers, up to clean white.

For the bony parts I used P3 Hammerfall Khaki as the base, then highlighted with bleached bone and white...
Will show some more later if I manage to paint something further

Edit:

Started adding cmbat damage to the armour - what do you think ??
