I am considering building a CCW for my Phantom titan. I think it would look completely cool if it was to have a sword instead of a powerfist. The question is, how can I do that? I would like it to look like an over-sized version of the Wraithlord's sword, and it needs to fit in with the rest of my Armorcast Phantom. I'm betting sculpting a hand is going to be a pain. Any ideas guys? Oh, and if it doesn't fit in with the titan, I might have to scratch build another titan to match the arm.

If you don't want to do it, consider commissioning it. An addition to a Phantom is going to be hard to mesh if you're not into the sculpting.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

what about an armblade (like those on starcrafts zealots)
it would eliminate the need for a hand, and would probably fit better with the model.

An Armblade would be a hand with extended blade - like an Ironfist from Ogre Kingdoms.

My advice is to play around with plasticard and a core along the back (non bladed) edge of the blade.

A hand could be constructed around a skeleton of paperclips?

For the hand, consider converting one of the old Wraithlord Power Fists - it is pretty big, and has long fingers that you can wrap around the hilt.

For the sword, I'd suggest that you use a metal core sandwiched and laminated between sheet styrene. The metal core gives strength and rigidity, while the styrene is carvable.
