I've begun compiling a battle report for my games as part of DD1 at Adepticon 2008 in the articles section.

Please discuss the report in the corresponding discussion thread, as I don't want to split discussion.

Oooh goody.

And you guys are playing Tau? Quite surprising. Love the commanders, and that wall you hid behind.

Yeah, Tau was a new and interesting experience. Centurian99 asserts that I'm really a Tau player, who plays Guard because I started before Tau was an option. Interesting thought, though I'm not convinced I agree.

Still, it was nice to have the grunts equipped to be individually useful.

Round 2 is up, vs. Blood Angels.

Then clearly he is someone who has fallen from the Emperor's Most Holy Light.

Kill him.

Ok. Just read the report. In a word:

Ouch!

And I'd have to agree. Tau are aggressive. I played a Chaos army vs Tau last weekend, and when they were attacking me, they were doing well (nearly lost two Land Raiders before I'd even had my first turn - damned Pirahnas!). When they weren't attacking, things went my way (like getting units in HTH at once, getting lots of good angle shots vs Hammerheads).

Hope you (and your Stealth Suits) do better in the next game.

[EDIT]: Actually, one quick Q. That big flag with the number on your table that I see in a couple of the shots. Did that count for terrain?

Honestly, the table-number-as-terrain never came up in any game I've ever played at Adepticon.
