So, pictures are a little bit blury, but I couldn´t wait any longer to show it.
Inspired by the Warseer thread from Lord of Skulls I started to build my own.
I used as many Cities of Death parts as possible because I´m very lazy ; )
I need to finish the bottom and upperpart, add the Heavy Bolters and some bitz.
And make decent photos of course.

Its rather cheap to produce, you need one of every CoD sets and there are still many leftovers to make decent ruins of it.
Some plasticcard, weapons and voila!

I think you may really be on to something here. I will check back to see where you go with this.

Wow. Beware, GW might want to start making these en-masse!

Great work so far!

Not a bad idea, but the Stormbird would be bigger. I've been thinking about a scratch Stormbird since reading the Horus Heresy. I'll have to go back and read it again for the description. I've never seen any art for it, but maybe I'll look through the art books again and see if there is anything interesting in the background. I was at GD this last weekend and thought about asking Dan Abnet about it, now I'm kicking myself for not asking him.

Very interesting start - I think this is going to be all about the execution on this. And just like the Leman Russ has got it's different variants, this could just be a planet-specific variant of a Thunderhawk.

Looking forward to seeing the progress on this!

Man, I wish there was a real Black Library where I could get a Black Library Card and take out Black Library Books without having to buy them. Of course, late fees would be your soul. But it would be worth it. - InquisitorMack

Wow, very nicely done. I just got some cardboard dunnage that is shaped peculiarly like a thunderhawk, and was thinking of making one myself. I am definitely thinking the COD doors and a few other bits will look great on it now that I have seen yours. Thanks for the inspiration!
