As the title states what's important to remember to make the changes from 500-750pts from a tactics point of view. I believe I have mastered the 500pt scene and have recently been playing more of the 750 range. I have played in two 500pt tourneys and have won both. I am preparing to go to a 750pt this weekend and will post my list later. One very noticable difference is the inclusion of Calvary in larger games. I don't belive they flow as well in 500pt matches with the exception of the cheaper calv factions (Wolf riders ect.) Any other thoughts and ideas as I will be going up against very experienced players at the higher points level.

My two ideas:

1. Lists more focused on a swift, assassination strike. So
if someone fields regular gaspy they're doing so with more
bone chickens and more troop swarm clearers (I don't know
how Epic Gaspy plays).

2. Lists that ramp up the attrition they can take in a game.
My main experience is with Protectorate, of course, so the
addition of Reclaimers or more unit attachment units or
Exemplars.

I actually find it's harder to pull off assassination runs at least until the late game turns and thier are more things to put in the way to absorb punishment. Definatley lots more troop swarms though, especially protectorate. That's why I am thinking Hexeris as he is great at clearing out troops.

Are you desiging for mixed (WM & Hordes) or just Hores opponents?

Both. It's a Hordes and warmachine tourney. I think in most cases I will use Hexeris but against certain Kromac and troll builds Morghul.
