Hi,

So I am taking the advice of oomiestompa, and starting with smaller battles until I have a better understanding of how the Khadorian army works.

I have created a 350pt. as follows.

1 Sorscha
1 Kodiak
1 Juggernaut
4 Widowmakers

346pts.

Complicated, huh.

I will be playing more range focused armies like Cygnar and a Merc army using the Mariner.

I figured what I would do is place the Widowmakers up front in cover to provide some time for the rest of the battlegroup to get to grips with the enemy. Because I can run the Kodiak without spending focus, I can use 1 focus to run the Juggernaut, and the other 5 focus to cast Wind Rush and Fog of War. That's 22 defence on Sorscha, and 12 defence on both Warjacks. 21 defence on the Widowmakers once Sorchas gets closer.

Then when I am close enough for the charge I will put 3 focus on each warjack, run Sorscha up and use her feat. Then the Kodiak and Juggernaut charge in. With the Kodiak always hitting, he'll knock the opposing warjack over and proceed to turn him into scrap. The Juggernaut will... well you get the picture.

So it's a simple plan, even for me, and a simple list.

So I know there won't be a whole lot to add, but if you have any suggestions or tips, I will be more than happy to hear them.

Thanks for your time and patience.

Regards,

David

Cygnar with Stryker can hose this set up with using a lancer to arc earthquakes to your jacks and then proceeding to turn them into scrap.

Also the options to cause distruption to your jack are a plenty with cygnar so you can't rely on giving them focus for the push.

21? +2 from Concealment (from Fog of War) and +2 from Camoflauge puts them at 18, right? Also, the Juggernaut and Kodiak have a charge threat range of 7.5". Most things in the game easily out range that. Unless your opponents are bad at guesing ranges, you'll likely find it more effective to load up one warjack and cast Boundless Charge on it. Have the other jack move into position to countercharge your opponent's counterchargers. And get good at guessing ranges.

Anyways, Metsuri counter provides a good reason why I suggest playing small in the beginning. Your plan is as good as any, CO, but when your opponent can easily disrupt your plan, you need to know how to react. This only comes with experience.

In this case, I would spread out my jacks so Earthquake won't get them both unless he casts it twice (Unlikely, as that would require dropping his upkeeps). The Widowmakers get the job of taking out the arc node or key infanty/solos. Sorscha moves forward, casts Tempest, shoots her Hand Cannon, and Wind Rushes to safety. Or you could cast Boundless Charge to still get a charge out of a Disrupted warjack. Don't forget that the Kodiak can Vent Steam even if Disrupted. It's all about recognizing what tools you have available to you each turn, and deciding whether it's worth using those tools to wreck your opponent now or if you should set yourself up for a good next turn.

Remember... flanking can be your friend.

Use the Widowmakers for surgical strikes, just like they were designed for, NOT for front line infantry. Run them at either flank, with some support from say the Destroyer, and your opponent will commit FAR too much of his army going after them, regardless if he sees them as the main strike or not.

At the other flank, a single jack with caster in tow. When you can make the other guy split when you're already planning to split, you have the advantage from the start.

These are just some thoughts, sorry if I stepped on any toes here.

Cygnar must... SUPPRESS... this... CULT that refers to it's self as The Protectorate of Minoth. They must be brought back into the fold... or they will see their god before they had planned on, which Cygnar will be more than happy to broker...
