hmm that's an interesting idea considering the fact that it gives me a very different theme but i'd like to hear more ideas you don't have to be doing them yourself just an idea you thought would be a nice looking army

Well before I can suggest anything I would ask what you have done before?

And what your level of skill is in your opinion?

If you have any particular armies that you like would also help.

What do you mean "IT MOVED?"

Motto: That which does not Kill me, SHOULD RUN.

i did an entirely spider rider army but i was looking at something more challenging

i have no real preference

I can work with green stuff to a good level (especially with fur)

If you want an army that's primarily for display, then I'll assume hordes are out and that you want a reasonably low model count.

Obvious choices are Ogres, Chaos Mortals or Cavalry-heavy armies, so here are some ideas based on these.

Eastern Ogres:
Heavy mongol influence with lots of moustaches, fur trimmed pointy helmets, silk pants for leaders to show contact with Cathay, scratch-built scraplauncher based on a converted Cathayan repeater crossbow.

Chaos Mortals:
Pick your chaos power and go nuts! Or try an evil anti-ulric cult that worships a lesser daemon. Lots of blood-spattered wolf-pelts and wolf headdresses. Then practice your evil laugh for when playing Middenheim armies.

Cavalry:
Bretonnian - Cursed Mousillon army. Can be themed as either good (desperate to regain Mousillon's honour by cleansing the forests) or evil (in league with chaos/vampire forces). In either case the army can be represented as more than a little nuts, with lots of pelts, skulls and other un-Bretonnian trophies!
Empire - Knightly Order. Use an existing one or design your own. Supporting infantry can be themed as castle guards and hunters from the surrounding estates. WFRP books are a great source for more obscure orders or ideas to create your own.

Good luck with whatever you choose, and post pics so we can see how you do!!

While you sleep, they'll be waiting...

Have you thought about the Axis of Evil pension scheme?

i really like the cathayan ogres idea because it's different and would look good on the table while still being effective

I presently am converting parts of my Vampire Counts to represent that the Vampire was from Mousillon and were driven to the far frozen north into Kislev.

My Bretonnian army is being converted and painted to represent Families and regions of the book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire' by George R.R. Martin.

Good Luck on what you choose to do!!

I like the suggestions by Chimera_Calvin also.

The blood of the living will flow and their dead shall swell my ranks.

2400pts- Vampire Counts
3000+pts- Bretonnia
3000+pts Dark Eldar
1500pts- Deamon Hunters
