Busy somewhere, airin' out the skin jobs.

For months now I've been wanting to play "Vampire the masquerade: Bloodlines" on my computer. I had the game before but lost the disk....and everywhere its expensive and noone I know has the game.

Anyway, I'm surfing the internet and see that 'Gamestop' has it for sale at a cheap $20, ten dollars less than anywhere else I've seen it...however...its a download and they dont send you a disk. No way.

Today I lost my resolve and paid the 20 bucks after holding off and continuing to try and ebay it for less than 30 or search for it trying to get lucky at walmart or best buy or something...it was worse now since I KNEW where there was a possibility of getting it. Dammit! I paid my 20 dollars at about noon today and started the download....

download complete, I try and launch the game...sure enough the crap doesnt work, these online download things NEVER work. NEVER! ARRAAGGGHHH!!!!

I started the download again, a second time, and sat at my PC watching the download, surfing in the meantime...no interupptions and no apparent problems...download complete....one more file to download after the initial game, sure enough "check your internet connection" (nevermind I was surfing in the meantime)

I think what's happened is that I actually have the game, but the final file that I need will allow me to crack the game without the disk, this is the download I'm waiting for that I cannot get after sitting at my computer for 6 hours today trying to download this fabulous game that I've been searching for over the last couple of months of wanting to play it again. (I cannot play any of the new and awesome stuff because my computer is starting to get old...but this game is awesome if you're a fan of WoD)

There are no phone numbers to call...their help page has no cure for me...and my only recourse is to e-mail 'Trymedia support' since it's their download system that is crap. They claim it will be 24-48 hours before they get back to me as well, probably with a cure that won't do a damn thing for me, why?

...Because I was stupid enough to think that this download of a game would work...they never do.

Now I'm out $20, I'm out 6 hours of my life, and my aggravation is skyrocketing thanx to the anticipation I had of being a vampire again today on my day off.

Thanx for listening to my rant, I'm going to go shoot a homeless person now....

I have never failed to seize on 4+ in my life!

If you have the game installed but have lost the disk, google search for 'vampire bloodlines no cd' and head over to the gamecopyworld link. CD locks annoy the hell out of me as it means I have to keep track of the literally hundreds of PC games I have sitting around. I cant stand swapping out CDs for no reason other than companies not trusting people, when there are pirates out there who dont have the same inconvenience, so I no-cd every game I get.

If you dont have the game installed and have lost the disk then you are out of luck!

Well, it was either pay the 20 bucks and give it a shot or continue to eat your guts out over the game without even having tried to remedy the situation. At least you did't put up a post puling about it and not have even tried something. Everyone "girl's out" every so often.

I use Steam quite a bit and have had no trouble with playing downloaded games.
