This is Kovnik Joe:

As we know, he's one of the best solos for the points, especially if you're fielding a lot of winterguard (which I have a tendency to do).

As you can also see, this model is made of fail.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to replacing/redoing this figure in such a way that he doesn't look like he's leading a parade or trying to stab the raindrops? I have looked at the Brusthralls PRD Joe, and while he's better he still suffers.

All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How many pieces?

Dropping that gun arm would be easy and might look ok if you can also change the angle of his head. Sticking him on a rock might make his pose a little better too, without having to change it, due to context etc.

Torso w/head, sword arm to elbow and gun arm attached
Left leg to knee
Sword arm (elbow to sword tip)

I have seen a couple of arm changes, usually only one or the other, but maybe cutting both arms off and repositioning them would be the answer.

I've also seen shifting his weight forward so it looks like he's walking, not dancing.

I'd love to do a head reposition, but I'm just not that good.

I think that the key to making this fig presentable is to shift the weight forward. If you can in addition reposition his arms lower that would be great.

The pistol arm should be quite easy to move into aiming position. I have no idea on the sword arm though.

Went ahead and picked Joe up today. The Sword arm was really easy to reposition (well, once I cut it off with a jeweler's saw). the pistol arm...well, it looks doable, but I'd need way more greenstuff skillz to repair the damage. and besides, then I'd just be going from 'wave weapons in the air' to 'wave weapons in the front'. So it stays for now. I might dump the pistol for a flag/banner--not sure yet.

Oh, and I modified him so he's walking forward rather than doing the electric slide.
