Didn't see these in the FAQ's and it's just some general style questions.

I know that if I want to target a friendly model with a spell, it just goes off, no rolling to hit or anything.

If I want to cast a spell with say, Grey Lords on a friendly model, do I still have to roll to hit them?

Ditto for attacking/slamming/throwing my own models, if I wanted to throw one of my own models, do I still have to roll to hit?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but this is the first batch I've got and it's somewhat dependent on how I will use the new set of units I got to try out.

If you want to use an offensive ability on one of your own
models, then yes you have to roll to hit.

The typical time I see this is players with Graylords casting
Blizzards (is that it?) on their own models to surround them
with a protective cloud effect.
