Atlanta

Hey Dakka-ites.

The arrival of 5th Edition pushed me back into 40k after a couple of years mainlining WoW (it might be cheaper, but it certainly doesn't leave you with much to show for it). I've been playing and collecting since the earliest days of RT, and I expect that I'll be a slave to GW for the rest of my days.

If anyone reading this is in the Atlanta area, hit me up for a game sometime. I've got a ton of IG, a smallish Eldar army, am currently building Demonhunters, with some Iron Hands SM next on the list.

Yo man, I'm in Atlanta. Come up to the Gaming Pit tonight in the 6-7 time frame? I'll play you with my Daemons.

For Directions:

The Gaming Pit
4805 Lawrenceville Highway
Suite 200
Lilburn, GA 30047
(770) 921-5511

If you read this tomorrow or whenever, the Gaming Pit is currently playing host to NATO and Warfan clubs on thursday and wednesday nights respectively. Roll on up on any wednesday/thursday night with an army and the odds are good you can get a game (markedly better on wednesday, as thursday there are a lot of non-GW games played, while its pretty much just GW on wednesday).

Alternately, there is a GW in the Mall of Georgia that's open all week long, but its a dice roll who's there to play. Sometimes you get strong out of towners, sometimes kids who want to play 353 points games. Your best shot is on the weekends.

All in all, fact is that Warhammer 40K has never been as balanced as it is now, and codex releases have never been as interesting as they are now (new units and vehicles and tons of new special rules/strategies each release -- not just the same old crap with a few changes in statlines and points costs).

Welcome back.

What came first WOW or Warhammer?

I always wonder why I percieved such a vocal internet sentiment that GW stole all their ideas,...

Then I started playing WOW, and went, uh....

?

Yeah, GW, who've been producing warhammer for 25 years, stole Blizzards Warcraft idea that was produced in the mid 90s.

I hope your joking. You do know that blizzard aproached GW with the original warcraft, trying to sell them on the idea of making it warhammer. After that idea was shot down, and they had already invested a lot of work into it, they decided to change just enough and the name that a lawsuit would probably be filed, but would be different enough to slide by with some shadey wording.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!
