Chicago

Hello, my name is Patrick and I live in the burbs of Chicago not far from the Chicago Battle Bunker. I have been playing 40k for about 3 years now and have two armies. I started out with Space Marines, but I grew away from them because all I encountered was anti MEQ armies. Instead, I picked up a new army and started to paint it not knowing that a new codex was coming out for them. That army was Eldar. I love my Eldar, but haven't been able to get in a game yet with the new ruleset. I run the typical "everything mounted in waveserpents" mechanized list, but I think it takes some skill to be effective at because you need to actually know how to coordinate your attacks. And I will soon be picking up IG when I get a chance.

I also have two armies for WHFB that I have put on the backburner for the moment because I am concentrating on actually painting and completing the Eldar minis that I have. I play Dwarfs (not the cheesy gun line, but over 100 dwarfs in my 2250 list) and TK. My TK is a little of the cheese, with the two screaming catapults and two shooting phases, but man does it ever help. I still think it actually takes some skill to play TK with the emergence of the latest armybooks like VC and DE.

I also frequent the Adeptus Windy City forums, but don't post there too often.

And there you have it, my little intro.

Yeah, mech Eldar is a competitive army but needs some skill. I'll play mech Eldar at the GT final.
