So i just got into WH40K and was curious, if it wouldn't be too annoying, if maybe the people on this forum could help me paint a Carnifex. The overall theme I am trying to pull of is the old yellow and black honey bee or even yellow jackets. If the answer is no problem, What color primer should I start with? Should I have the carnifex completely assmbled or in pieces before I paint? Any help would be great, I spent like 40 bucks on the thing and I don't want that to go to waste. Thanks!

If you smell bad, take a shower before playing me. I hate when people devote too much time to something that they can't even shower.

Start with white primer... gray if you have to.
Don't use black primer. Yellow doesn't cover well over black.
You'll get the brightest yellow over white primer.

As for assembly... you'll likely get differing opinions.
I prefer a partial build... Like, build the body, keep the arms separate.
Just remember, though... When you go to reassemble it, have the model cleaned down to the BARE PLASTIC where it's joined.
If you glue a primered piece to a primered piece (or painted to painted), all you're doing is gluing the primer/paint together. That arm/head/tail WILL fall off at some point (where a plastic to plastic join will be more secure).

Well, the modelling and painting forum would probably be a better start. And don't feel the need to ask - dakka is a friendly place, there are plenty of people who'd be happy to help.

I thought this was a good place based on the different things I've been reading, but I can repost this in there if it's a problem.
